HTPC Mini-ITX Case
#1
Looking for a case (+PSU) for my new build. It'll need to be able to accommodate the following.

Cooler = Scythe Big Shuriken 2
http://www.scan.co.uk/products/scythe-bi...lus-am3-am
CPU = Intel Core i3 4330
http://www.scan.co.uk/products/intel-cor...54w-retail
Motherboard = Asus H87I-PLUS
http://www.scan.co.uk/products/asus-h87i...dvi-d-hdmi-

Already got RAM and SSD. Don't want an optical drive but most HTPC cases have a slot for it... Maybe put a Bluray in at some point but highly doubt it and doubt it'd fit with the cooler too.

Have been looking at Streacom cases. Any recommendations?

Huh. That case doesn't seem to be available any longer, and the replacements in the Antec ISK line (300-150 and 310-150) won't fit the Shuriken (according to beer40oz on the same thread).

(Starting my HTPC hardware hunt as well...)
OpenELEC 5.0 (Helix) | Intel NUC D34010WYKH i3 Haswell | 64GB SanDisk SSD | 4 GB RAM
unRAID 6.0b12 | 6.3 TB of Storage

Something like the Apex MI-008 with the PSU removed and replaced with a picoPSU might fit the Big Shuriken 2.

Can vouch for Streacom cases in general - they're sweet.

Be careful with some of their cases though (esp. the low profile ones) if you intend to go fanless. The cooling pipes look like they would be obstructed by some of the pin headers on that motherboard.

A Big Shuriken 2 is unlikely to fit in any Streacom case. I have the Wesena ITX6 (same but different) and I don't see how it would fit.

It fits in the Streacom FC7. Can't find that at a reasonable price though. Sad

I think you have to not install the ODD/HDD tray to get it to fit.

FC7 and ITX6 seem to be pretty much identical cases.

I wish I still had these, they're perfect for these kinds of builds: http://www.ecosmartpc.com/ei7nusb3.html

That avforum thread is where I copied the build from Tongue And that case you linked looks PERFECT. I need something like that.

When my Chinese sales guy is back from the Chinese New Year break I am going to beg and plead for more of them.

Cool, I'm not in the biggest hurry so I would actually wait. How much do you sell them for? Does it include the PSU?

Price depends on what they say when they get back -- it's always changing like anything else. Every order is negotiated.

They come with a 12V 180W DC-DC powerboard and a 84W AC adapter with available upgrades to 120W and 150W.

I'm in the UK. Sad

I'm guessing your "free shipping" doesn't include the UK Tongue

No, they tend to charge quite a bit more to send it overseas. Interesting to know though it's the same price to Australia as it is to the UK. I am not sure where they come up wth this stuff.
