IM building a new htpc
Would this board be good for 1080 mkv

400w psu
8gigs 1600 ram
500 GB 7200 drive
Htpc casecase
It will feed off of a 4tb raid 1 nas

The board has not really much to do with playing 1080p. You need a good cpu/gpu. As far as I read the Intel G530 can play 1080p, I recommend to get a better cpu though.

TIM running g530 in my other htpc it works great I picked this one up for $30 I want to stay under $200 on this build
