It really depends on how much you want to spent/or can spend and what you want to get out of your Tab when not using xbmc, Also what screen size you want.
If you can give us some clues we can maybe help you out. To date all my tabs run great on xbmcand they are Samsungs, Sony Tab Z and Nexus 10

HOW-TO: You can make easy links to the Kodi Wiki Manual using double brackets around common Kodi words: [[debug log]] = debug log (wiki), [[Video library]] = Video library (wiki), [[SMB]] = SMB (wiki) , etc

Im looking at purchasing a tablet the is either 7" or 10"... and cost does count. I don't want to spend over 300 for the tablet.
Thansk ofr the help i looked at the samsung and hear good things, but its the most costly.
