XBMC wont load past RPi boot screen
#1
Hello ...
Last night my Pi was working soundly ... no issues ...
went to watch a movie today and it couldnt find the source (which i've used many times) then xnmc froze and crashed ...

Then it couldnt find an internet connection (wifi) but my laptop + mobile can and work
so i hard wired it via LAN ... the light lit up, but nothing more ...

SO, formatted my SD and installed XBMC again today (31/1)

My Pi cant find an internet connection ... but does, then downloads more of xmbc ...
reloads and stays on the big R load screen ... then nothing more!!

Is this a RPi issue or an XBMC ... it is almost as if XBMC wont load up!
BUT it will load on my laptop!?

This is a distribution issue rather than an xbmc issue. Sounds like you are using raspbmc, so I'd suggest asking here:

Get the latest version.
Are you trying to install via wifi?

I tried the latest version ... i think that was the issue ...
i've installed OpenELEC for now and it is working! :-)

I installed via my laptop (windows) onto an Sd card ...
Raspbmc didnt work ... OpenELEC does!
