A new issue with cache??
#1
Hi all,

I'm not sure this is the right place for this. Move if needed.

I have been testing gotham on androids. Currently I have not seen this topic talked about. So again, move where needed or close the thread.

In 12.3, when pausing, the movie/tv show/stream continues to cache. This makes it easier if you have buffering issues. Just let the stream "download" a bit and then play.

Right now, with the current nightlies I have tested with gotham with or with out the commoncache fix by koying the pause is not working. When paused, the cache immediately stops.

Current box I am using is RK3188_R-BOX Running android 4.2.2

Try a nightly build (wiki) of XBMC for Android (ARM).

I have the latest nightly paused now. It's not caching. Should I start a log for you to look at?

Sorry about that, I misread. Yes, a log would be good.

Again the issue is it will not cache when play back is paused.

I can tell you that it should work since it's using HTTP, which should be cached by default. However, this specific case seems to be using Mash Up, which I can't help you with per our forum rules (wiki) on add-ons that provide bootleg video content.

hmm.. What addon can I use to continue testing?

I think HD-Trailers will pull videos using HTTP. If it happens there then it really is something funky going on in XBMC and not just the add-on.

Thanks Ned, I will test that.
