Hi, I'm new to XBMC but used some other mediacenters for many years.
When I start XBMC I was amazed by most parts in it - videos, audios, music, streaming, PVR client and add-ons.
The part that let me down is the picture part. By defualt XBMC is only able to browse photos in file mode, which is OK when photos didn't contain tagging in the old days. Now almost all photos contain meta info - taken time, modified time, tags, description, GPS locations, rating, people tags, and many more. I'd hope XBMC can some day support importing those data and provide more ways of browsing/finding photos:
1) Based on date
2) Based on location
3) Based on people tags
I know there the picture add-on can do some of it, but it would be so much nicer to have native support in XBMC IMO.

Yes the Pictures in core is the poor relation in XBMC and has been neglected to some extent.

Thank for your reply! I tried that add-on, and I believe XBMC can do so much better.
