When I select multi-image option for backgrounds, the background change randomly which is fine. Is there a way to change the amount of time before the background changes? For instance I would like a different background image to show on Movies only when I start XBMC instead of every few seconds.

Yes, Go to: Settings>Appearance>Skin>Settings>Main Menu>TRAINSITION TIME FOR MULTIPLE IMAGES

I found that I can have it change up to every hour but I noticed if you change from Movies to something else, the background changes when you go back to movies.
It would be nice if there was a setting to set to stay the same for a selected period of time and only change after that period of time is met.
