I have been using the ArkMC (Android/iOS) UPNP/DNLA client on my iPad (4th gen) to view video and audio streamed from XBMC. It actually does this very well (including HD files).
ArcMC has a download function to pull content to the iPad for off-line viewing - this is not working!
Getting the download function to work would be very handy (no messing with ftp servers or similar to stream content from XBMC to a tablet for off-line viewing).
The download works for small files (e.g. 30MB approx) however it fails after downloading for a few seconds on larger files - only a small amount of the file is downloaded to the iPad.
What makes me wonder if this is XBMC related is that the debug log shows a buffer under-run error (as best I can interpret it):
Line 896 of the log
13:14:28 T:4574097408 DEBUG: Received request to serve 'A14ED85EE98ECA66D3B4FB6F417F2688/test-file.avi' = '/Users/tv/TV@HD1000/test-file.avi'
13:14:31 T:4517605376 ERROR: renderCallback: UNDERFLOW (0 vs 4096) bytes
13:14:35 T:4584927232 ERROR: Previous line repeats 329 times.
13:14:35 T:4584927232 NOTICE: ES: Client from 127.0.0.1 timed out
13:14:35 T:4517605376 ERROR: renderCallback: UNDERFLOW (0 vs 4096) bytes
13:14:40 T:140735265592080 ERROR: Previous line repeats 432 times.
Steps to reproduce:
Start XBMC
Enable debug (via a remote keymap)
Browse to file over UPNP on ArkMC
Select Download file in ArkMC
Wait for failure - a few seconds
Disable debug
Upload log
XBMC version is xbmc-20140222-3915ac4 (also tried 12.3). Mac mini is a 2013 Quad-core with SSD (and test-file stored on it). Mac network is Gig Eth and iPad is wireless N 5gHz (with almost no interference).
Any ideas of things to try ?
