Why don't you disable the cu lyrics add-on?

If the lyrics pop up and run in time with the music I would like to keep the option.  If the lyrics are not dynamic and I don't feel like "clicking along" I'd like to hit ESC to clear them from the screen, as I can in virtually every other skin I have used.  Apparently that is not an option for this skin?
