Well for some of us, XBMC is kind of a "set it and forget it" type of thing. If it's working and I can do what I want with it, I'm good. I don't generally wade through the forums on a daily or even monthly basis searching out new add-ons. But when I see stories on Popcorn Time hitting the front page of some big tech sites, I sit up and take notice.

That being said, I installed your (steeve's) add-on and it definitely ROCKS! It looks like you've put a lot of work into it and it shows. I, for one, will be using the crap out of it for sure.

It's back!

It would be awesome if such a feature would be integrated to XBMC. It would be the evolution, the next step!

A plugin would be nice but nicer would be if XBMC had this in it's core, like if you could add a video source of streaming content or something.

It's opensource and, if I'm correct, it gets it's content from YTS; is built on their API.

XBMC could take it to the next level and add streaming for TV Shows episodes too, since Popcorn Time is movies-exclusive.

I belive XBMC's awesome future is now known.

Again, it exists, I made it, since last October: http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=174736

Something like a torrent client built in XBMC with RSS feed source feature or something like that with the streaming option like the one uTorrent already has and Popcorn Time now took to the next level.

Nothing like Transmission, wich is a tird-party application and requires more advanced skills to configure...

I, for instance, use XBMC alongside uTorrent on a PC downloading files automatically from a torrent RSS feed and have the same thing going on on the HTPC of the living room running XBMCbuntu, but with Transmission and FlexGet instead of uTorrent.

If it all could be done within XBMC, without third-party software on the background, it would be absolutely awesome!

Oh, I'm sorry steeve! I didn't see your post there! Awesome! Really! Sweet!

But what I was talking about was to build it in XBMC's core, you know? Like if the library would be built on that or something...

Again, excellent job! Thank you very much! Going to enjoy it right now!

Steeve, this is awesome! Thanks.

I have an issue that every time it starts looking for torrents my internet connection goes down, but I suspect it's the router that doesn't like the UPnP stuff.

Also, it would be nice if we could set more torrents options. For the moment I edited the code myself to add the Max Upload Rate (i.e.: just adding a key to the torrent2http_options dictionary in the TorrentPlayer class).

More useful options I guess would be a flag not to use UPnP and have a way to define a range of ports (then it would be the user's duty to forward them to the xbmc host).

Anyhow, this is really cool, thanks again.

Goodbye Popcorn Time. for those that didn't know what it was https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Popcorn_Time

I like their swan song: FTA

Piracy is not a people problem. It’s a service problem. A problem created by an industry that portrays innovation as a threat to their antique recipe to collect value. It seems to everyone that they just don’t care.

Hi guys, sorry if this is the wrong place to post this but I was just wondering if it's safe to use their android app over a cellular network like AT&T? I do it home just fine but I kinda figured they watched the cell networks a lot more closely. Thoughts? Thanks
