Release [Helix-Isengard] WiMM - Web interface Media Manager for Kodi
Hello,
I've just discovered this addon..as I'm looking for a way to manage my Kodi library remotely...
looks fine but I have a question:
if the scrapper on kodi made some misclassification (wrong film name, etc..) is there a way from WiMM to correct it? I can change some details, but I can't have the whole information available (poster etc...)
thanks for your help
Details some are supported posters/art no, not yet. If something is wrong via kodi its the name thats wrong most of the times.

I wanted to say that I really like this tool. I use ember and tiny media manager to scrape my movie but once the files are in my Kodi folders it was hard to edit. Now it's extremely easy to fix any mistake.

I fount one issue but I think it might be a Kodi problem, this icon does not show http://localhost/resources/images/flags/...vorbis.png (for the same movies, in confluence I do not see the icons, so I imagine it might be linked)

Other than that, I will give you time to work on cast edit (and maybe band edit as it seems to be impossible to do in Kodi and I have bands scraped as the wrong ones...)

Keep up the good job!!!

Edit : is it me but we can export a report with the writer, but we can not edit it ?

Ive added them now, the missing flags should be with you in 4.1.16 update in a few hours when it goes through system.
Have loved this add on for years since it was called XWMM.
My question is, when do you think you will have the actor details editing section up and running?

Keep up the good work.

Edit: Is it possible to add a function to this add on to export all the details of a movie into NFO files (Just a suggestion.)
Installation Instructions.

When I tried to install the latest version of WIMM (4.1.16) on Helix 14.1, one look at the installation instructions indicated they hadn't been updated in long time. Any new user trying follow those instructions would be frustrated. I was certainly frustrated and I've been using XWMM since Eden.

Working with the Confluence skin on Windows 7 x64, here's what I found:

These are the current instructions:

Method 1: (WIMM will be the only web interface) -- 4.1.11 or newer required fr this)
- Go to System > Add-ons > Get Add-ons > WIMM Add-on Repository > Web interface
- Select WIMM
- Go to System > Settings > Network > Services:
- Allow control XBMC via HTTP
- Web interface : WiMM
- open your browser to http://<your_Kodi_IP>:<port>

Problem #1
Instruction:
"Go to System > Add-ons > Get Add-ons > WIMM Add-on Repository > Web interface"
On Helix:
Go to System > Settings > Add-ons > Get Add-ons > (but there's no WIMM Add-on Repository listed)

Alternate installation to install from ZIP file on Helix:
Go to System > Settings > Add-ons > Install from ZIP file and navigate to my
previously download zip. Successfully installed and enabled.

Problem #2
"Go to System > Settings > Network > Services:" (there's no Network item listed)
On Helix:
Go to System > Settings > System there's an entry for Internet Access (No Network item listed available).
If you go System > Settings > System there's an entry for Internet Access but no entry for "Allow control XBMC via HTTP".
If you go to System > Settings > Services > Webserver, lo and behold the entry to "Allow control of Kodi via HTTP" is available. After enabling that you have the options of setting Port, Username, Password AND Web Interface, so you set it to WIMM.

Thankfully that worked for me.

So...the sequence I worked out is this:

1. Download ZIP file from https://github.com/slash2009/XWMM/releases and save to your drive.

2. Install WIMM from the ZIP file:
- System > Settings > Add-ons > Install from ZIP file
- Navigate to the file you downloaded, highlight it, then click OK.
- Verify that the WIMM Add-on is enabled

3. Configure Web Settings
- Go to System > Settings > Services > Webserver
- Enable "Allow control of Kodi via HTTP"
- Select a Port (Default: 80)
- Define User name (If needed)
- Define Password for User (if needed)
- Verify Web Interface is set to WIMM

4. Launch your browser to http://<your_Kodi_IP>:<port>
Usually just entering 127.0.0.1 will do the job unless you have changed other parameters
of your browser setup.

If anyone sees a problem with these steps please let me know! If not, it would be good if the installation steps in the original message could be updated.
Well what can I say, that was left from gotham and things move around in UI, so it only natural things change menus options get shunted around and procedures need updating.

So for that, thx, when I have some time Ill try to update things to reflect newer kodi.

In meanhile Ill let this mature a little as Im a little busy with other things and will come back to this.

Thx for sorting it out if you find any issue ammend your post above and I'll try to do a copy and paste sometime later.

Its worth noting the instructions are with/for default skin only, other skins tend to make own changes and whanot.

Thx Smile
In kodi15/alpha,

I dl'd the .zip (webinterface.WIMM-4.1.16.zip), and select "Add from zip file".

At which point it tells me: "Add-on does not have the correct structure"

bit of digging suggests maybe a problem with addon.xml :

https://github.com/ddurdle/XBMC-ownCloud/issues/5

?
Nothing has changed in addon.xml except version for months., but maybe kodi is dong something now in v15, no idea.

This addon should work fine in v15 but is not really developed for it. Thx for letting s know, will investigate.

Edit...

Yes something in kodi changed, what idk maybe http://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=220125 has something to do with it, maybe not, earlier master builds of alpha were working, I tested it same zip file.
If it was that commit its just been merged 9 hours ago, So builds from tomorrow onwards please test and report.

EDIT: ... and works fine now. thanks!
Yep, thx for reporting back it was that what caused it/fixed it.
I am running Kodi ver.15 alpha and tried to install your latest version and get message "not correct structure" there for will not install?
You need a recent up-to-date v15 alpha, see two posts above yours.
Have just updated to the latest nightly of kodi isengard and when I try to install xwmm I still get "not correct structure"
What OS is this?

You downloading https://github.com/slash2009/XWMM/releas...4.1.17.zip and if so can you open the zip and remove these lines https://github.com/slash2009/XWMM/blob/m...ml#L20-L26 and close it up again and ttry to install again.

I fit fails can you please make a bug report on and pastebin a Debug Log from kodi that shows you adding/installing the unchanged zip along with report at https://github.com/slash2009/XWMM/issues

thx.
Thanks for the help. Will try shortly and report back the results.
