This idea https://github.com/slash2009/XWMM/wiki/F...at-do-i-do
I am very sad, that project was closed...
It was the most important file manager addon for xmbc (kodi)
I hope that someone will continue it...

Thank you and keep moving forward...

Sincerely,

doriath
The project is not closed, it simply has no one working on any of them old or new, its essentially the same, but its not the same. That's what you call a distinction with no difference.
Ive officially left the WIMM 4.x project as a github maintainer / project janitor after 3 years of keeping project on life support.

See See https://github.com/slash2009/XWMM/issues/139

I will now ask a moderator to close this thread, as theres no real reason for this thread to exist even for support reasons for a dead project.

All users are more than welcome to continue using WIMM, but dont expect bugs to be fixed or support, however you are still welcome to post reports at the project GitHub, that remains open I made sure of it.

The Future of WIMM

fyfe was the last active developer who took the project on, and redeveloped with WIMM-ng 5.x, however hes also no longer active (last time he was active was last April) and I see no need to be holding the chair warm indefinitely on WIMM 4.x, especially since there has not been a single line of communication in months.

I strongly encourage users to however download and install WIMM-ng 5.x see https://github.com/fyfe/WIMM-ng.
Report any issues to: https://github.com/fyfe/WIMM-ng/issues.

Its sad, but I will now consider this project WIMM 4.x DEAD.

As for WIMM-ng 5.x Ive no idea, but that too seems to be on ice (though I was never involved with that project directly.) and therefore have no idea what goes on.

Thats all folks, thank you for all the fish, thanks to all that helped keep WIMM 4.x alive and thanks to all the users... its now time to close the door, turn off the lights and find other projects worth contributing to, like the awesome Chorus 2

Goodbye WIMM Sad Goodbye all.
