Installing on ARM machine
#1
I am having problems installing xbmc on my computer, Ubuntu 12.04. It is using ARM, which I (ordinary person) only recently have discovered can create some problems (http://utilite-computer.com/web/home).

This is the error message that I get: can anyone explain and help? Thanks

Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have
requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable
distribution that some required packages have not yet been created
or been moved out of Incoming.
The following information may help to resolve the situation:

The following packages have unmet dependencies:
xbmc : Depends: xbmc-bin (>= 3:12.2-1~ppa1~precise) but it is not installable
Depends: xbmc-bin (< 3:12.2-1~ppa1~precise.1~) but it is not installable
E: Unable to correct problems, you have held broken packages.

I don't believe that the official XBMC repositories hold ARM Linux builds, only x86.

This thread may give you an explanation and links to some more reading: http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid...id=1646707
