Win Making "Deinterlace=Auto" the default
#1
Hi, XBMC is brilliant and I'm just starting to migrate to it from MCE. I'm in the UK and have a mix of Windows wtv (H264) and SD (mpeg) files. Using the latest beta of Gotham these all play fine now (there were no-audio issues with DVB-S2 wtv files when I tried V12.4 Frodo). I notice though that most of these TV files need de-interlacing. If I use the video menu to set de-interlacing to AUTO, the videos look great, but when I play another video that setting has gone back to OFF. I've tried editing the guisettings.xml file where I found 'deinterlacemode' but this does not seem to feed through to the gui. How can I set AUTO as a default please? I saw in 12.3 that there was a 'make these settings the default for all video files' but no such setting seems to be in Gotham...
Thanks for any help, Brian.

When you call up the Video OSD, while playing a file, select Deinterlace Auto, then scroll to the bottom and choose 'set as default for all videos".

Doh thanks. I had not seen the scroll bar. Many thanks. That did it.
