Shared Folder Access Error
#1
Every time i start Server WMC i get a folder error.

I have created a folder on my media server, shared it to everyone and myself with read and write access

i have altered the registery for WMC to point it at my shared folder and it appears to see the folder is there.

But i get an error everytime i start serverWMC.

Here is my error log.

2015/07/30 09:28:24.638 Local WMC 'RecTV' folder: '\\10.174.1.204\Recorded_TV',

That line doesn't seem right. The local recorded TV folder should be in the format <drive letter>:\

Does WMC work? Does ServerWMC work? Can clients access?

Its not a local folder, its 6tb worth iscsi attached storage.

Right, wmc won't work with a network folder it needs to be local location - by editing the registry you can specify a network share but wmc's rec service won't use it. You should use wmc's settings to select the recorded tv folder, then share this folder and enter the shared location in serverwmc.

I believe if it is iscsi you should be able to connect it to a local drive letter. Enter it that way into WMC and you should be up and running.

yup im using an iSCSI mounted NAS drive but you have to present it as a local drive letter for WMC to use it
