PVR Set Up on Raspberry Pi Openelec Help
#1
Hi guys,

I have looked and looked, searched and read and finally THINK I understand the requirements to set up PVR. But I'm not 100%

Here is my understanding so far along with my setup:

Raspberry pi Model B
Openelec 3.2.4
Ready Nas Duo v2 - media storage via NFS
Living in the UK

In order to set up PVR I will need a USB TV Tuner, from my latest reading I understand that TVHeadend is pre installed on Openelec now and I do not need a separate backend? is this correct?

I plan to create a tutorial for those with a similar set up to make life easier for people so everyones input is appreciated. I there is already anything out the there please point me in the right direction

You can get Tvheadend from service addons.
Guess you will need a usb hub with power adaptor as well

Jönke is right, you'll need a powered USB hub for the USB tuner to work. Once you have that you install tvheadend from the Openelec addons repository. Then you browse to http://openelec:9981 and set everything up (scan for channels etc., there are many guides on this subject) and finally you install the PVR addon for tvheadend which integrates it with XBMC.
