hey guys,

when I watch videos on my xbmc in the living room I would like to continue the video on my tablet or raspberry pi in another room.
I have a mysql database that makes it easy to remember where to continue on another machine, but still it takes a lot of steps.

Steps:
- Stop movie on one machine
- Start xbmc on the tablet
- Select video
- Click through all the folders to the right video
- Continue on the last state of the video

I could use the smart playlist of course, but for the tv-shows I am not able to continue on the next episodes.

So my feature request is like this.
- On a playing movie
- In the lower navigation bar next play, stop, fast forward -> A "share video" button would be nice.

Share video on another machine and folder context based on the mysql database.

There's some skins that show the most recent in-progress videos right on the home screen. I bet that feature would work in a MySQL setup.

You can sort of do what you are requesting now using "SwitchPlayer", either as a skin button or as a remote control button. Switch Player uses UPnP (wiki) to beam the currently playing video to another XBMC instance (or many other UPnP/DLNA devices) and resume right from the same spot, with two-way control.
