It would be fantastic if the youtube part could function correctly again!

Citrus Wrote:I found an easier way to send video URLs to the XBox using Firefox. Simply create a new bookmark in firefox with this URL: "http://192.168.1.6/xbmcCmds/xbmcHttp?command=PlayFile&parameter=%s"
set the keyword to something like 'x' or 'xbox' and then just type that keyword before the Video URL in Firefox.
i.e. "xbox www.somesite.com/video01.avi" and it will start streaming on the XBox.

This trick bundled with keepvid.com for getting the direct URLs from sites like Youtube & Google make this trick very useful.

I cant get either of these to work... i am using the most recent build of xbmc

As far as I know, FilePlay and XBMC.PlayMedia are the only options we have to create a "trigger" link for the XBMC WebServer. Both work in XBMC-8.10-FINAL-T3CH-PROPER but no in XBMC-SVN_2008-12-30_rev16762-T3CH. As soon as I find hosting space I will upload an html page which will help.

You could also use XBMControl Smile In the contextmenu there is an option to send a media url to XBMC. No support for these kind of links though (yet)...

You'll need the url of the actual media file.
