We'll need some info. What stream? debug enabled xbmc.log? Can you ssh in before playing live stream and confirm if ssh connection remains - if it does report output of dmesg after crash.

Hi,

Just did a fresh install of Openelec Gotham on my Raspberry Pi (USB Install)
USB is formatted EXT4
SSH is added to the cmdline.txt

When I try to SSH via terminal "ssh [email protected]"
I get connection refused

Please help!

Usually happens when you type the wrong ip address or ssh isn't enabled. Maybe try enabling it in the openelec settings menu, double checking the address, and making sure your on the same network.

Just upgraded from 3.9.7 to 4.0.0, SSH working fine for me (upgrade retained usual settings)

Openelec Add On has gone a bit funny, you have to scroll through the options in order to be able to read the text (otherwise they are largely invisible).

Looks like this issue: https://github.com/OpenELEC/OpenELEC.tv/issues/3171
Seems there is a fix ready for next update.

I *think* this is due to this commit:
https://github.com/xbmc/xbmc/pull/4642

which was quickly reverted. It caused live stream crashes on all platforms.

I looks like openelec 4.0 includes that patch, but not the revert.

It is fixed in git tree for openelec 4.0, so will be in next release.

I think OE didn't include that PR according to sraue

Ah yes - the xbmc hash he used included that commit, but he then added:
https://github.com/OpenELEC/OpenELEC.tv/...d496f02ec5

which should fix it. So this must be something else.

The last lines of log look suspicious:
Code:
13:02:54 T:2669655120   DEBUG: Failed to load/find COFF hModule header
13:02:54 T:2669655120   ERROR: Unable to open dll special://xbmcbin/system/

but they don't mean anything to me yet.

---Edit---
That error message and the same symptoms (crash after playing live stream) are reported on Ubuntu and CuBox, so doesn't seem to be raspberry pi speciifc:

Hi draijsch,

Can you copy/past the exact error message you get when connection is refused?
Config, video/audio player:
