Gents,
I, "The Newbie", have a well-functioning PC with XBMCbuntu and Frodo, that's working so fine!
Should I go for a upgrade to Gotham" - and, if so, what's in it for me?
Cheers, and thanks in advance.

I think I replied in the wrong thread :-) Hehe.
Sorry.
First decide what functions / features you expect from a system. Then decide for the hardware. Don't waste your money on crap.

To try answer the question...
I dont know whats in it for you Frodo vs Gotham, And none of us can tell you what's in it for you, because we dont know what you need from XBMC.
Have a look at
XBMC_v13_(Gotham)_changelog (wiki) and decide for yourself, though thats a incomplete list you get the idea.
If you do decide to upgrade wait for v13.1 because v13 is a bit of a release blurb and has a few bugs that may or may not affect you and given your OS you may need to do a fresh install of the new XBMCbuntu since I dont think your current OS has any ppa candidates.

Hi uNiversal and mayoman,
Well I'm quite happy with my setup :-)
It never crashes, I never has to do a reboot, - everything actually works fine :-)
So - I think Ill leave it as it is: If it ain't broke, don't fix it!!
and - upgrade when Gotham is grown up!!
Cheers - and thanks

Good idea Malmberg,
I have spent all day trying to get xbmcbuntu 13 to work and all it seems todo is install a very broken version of ubuntu 13.04. I have had enough and I'm going back to frodo
Cheers
