I have installed this program and would like to know just how my Vizio TV gets the movie I have on my Computer?

Are you referring to using the UPnp function of XBMC to share media with your TV?
XBMC is mainly meant as a Media Center for HTPCs. The HTPC provides the playback to the TV. If you just want a DLNA server, you would be better served by other software.
XBMC can make media available over UPnP, but it does no transcoding for devices. If your TV can not playback the media in its codec/wrapper you are out of luck.
