In the latest XBMC release, i used to be able to open a playlist to show favorite
TV Shows and right click a show and Scan for New Content.
However this feature has been taken away.
It can only be done while in the TV Shows section or from the File location.

I would like to try and make an addon that once clicked, will scan the xsp playlist
for show names and then update each show for new content.

Hopefully this would then allow me to list shows in my playlist and play then straight
away , without having to load all TV SHows which takes time and also having
to scoll to correct show.

Could someone give me pointers in reading text files, and also what command to
initiate a TV Show Content scan based on show name as already in Library.

Also when doing this per show, would i have to wait for each show to scan before
scanning the next show..
