Im getting the following error on startup it has started happening after I changed the recording system path from the default value "Storage/Recordings" I have since changed it back but still getting the same error and unable to record.

What's in your tvheadend log - switch on debugging (in the GUI or the tvheadend default config file) if you need to get more information. But that should tell you why the recordings aren't working.

My guess would be permissions. Check from a command shell whether the UID under which tvheadend is running (ps -eaf | grep tvheadend) can write to Storage/Recordings - su to that user and just touch a file in the right place.
