Hi all,
I recently switched from windows to Linux Mint 17, and have been having the following problem ever since. As soon as I exit XBMC:
- The resolution of my primary monitor automatically reduces from (1920x1080) to (832x624).
- Both monitors end up on top of each other (in the Display Settings).
Now I suspected this was related to my GPU (Geforce GT 540M) driver and installed the latest Nvidia driver (331). This caused me to boot without any monitors being recognised so I had to boot from a flash drive and reinstall the Nouveau driver.
Another suggestion I found online (not sure how relevant this really is) was to turn off Optimus in the BIOS, but I cant find such settings in my BIOS.
Any ideas on what else I could try?
