I'm running several xbmc-devices with a shared library, but with the shared library you get pretty locked to use the devices at home.
An awesome feature would be if you could make some movies cached offline, and added directly to the "internal" database of the device. So I could just cache some videos to my iPad, iPhone or even my openelec rpi in the car (added the functionality to the remote app so you could choose directly form there, ex for car-pi)
In my eyes the easiest way, would be to copy the video on to the device (with a push in the interface while looking at the shared library). Update local db when it's done (the movie/video-db), then when no internet is connected or trying to connect to shared library timeouts, it will choose local library instead of the shared.
This would be a nice feature!
