Hi all,
I'm starting out learning to skin and I'm working on one that's simple with fairly large text suitable for the eyesight of someone my age without a huge TV. I've picked Quartz to start from (thanks Pecinko) and I'm fairly happy with how things are going, but ...
I can't get straight in my mind when the various different ways of positioning a control should work - and I have gone round the wiki many times and searched the forum. I'm currently struggling with a dialog which I want to centre on the screen.
I'm fine with the background using:
but the grouplist containing the buttons is causing me problems. I've tried:
but this puts the buttons top left of the screen.
puts the buttons on the left but does centre vertically.
puts the buttons where I expect.
I really want to avoid having to use explicit pixel positions as I know I will be playing with sizes and positions as I progress but this seems like the only option that works horizontally. Hopefully I've just failed to find some information somewhere. All pointers and advice gratefully received.
Thanks,
George.
