Qnap TS-X51 series hone NAS with inbuilt XBMC and VM
#1
QNap has released four NAS based on Intel J1800 in 2/4/6/8 bay config.
The interesting part about these is that they come embedded with
  1. XBMC 12
  2. DVB-T
  3. Gigabit LAN ports with link aggregation
  4. IR and MCE remote
  5. Run a single VM
.

This sounds perfect for someone who wants a NAS and XBMC.

TS-251 (2 bay)
TS-451 (4 bay)
TS-651 (6 bay)
TS-851 (8 bay)

Anyone tried this? Thinking about consolidating my DIY NAS & aTV2 into one device.

Nice machine, but when you can tinker around for yourself and can live with a bigger case it's not worth over 1050€.

I have both the TS-251 and the TS-451, both running Kodi with no problem. I needed the 4 bay for my home network and got the 251 on sale as a backup.

The work well, run clean and can be configured just like any version of Kodi. I just wish whoever is responsible would do the version updates a little more quickly. lol

How do you install the new Kodi to TS-451? Thanks

You wait until it is in the QNAP apps section, and dload and install.

I believe they are at 14.2 (not at home right now) of Kodi.
