No Joystick name specified, loading default map?

My Xbox 360 Wired controller is not getting detected by XBMC,So i read up about this issue
According to the interwebs,i should get something along the lines of this(in log file)
Quote:NOTICE:Enabled Joystick *controller name*
But instead,i get this
Quote:NOTICE:No Joystick name specified, loading default map
OS: Win 7 ultimate 64-bit
XBMC V13.1 "Gotham"
why isn't my controller being recognized?It works fine with all controller supporting games and Steam BP

Tried updating to the latest drivers from ms website, not via windows update?
