Confluence Gotham Mods by pkscout
#1
I hadn't really been intending to ever "release" the mods I've made, but I decided to make a beta repo for my add-ons, and once I did that it was a pretty simple matter to create another for my skin mods. So here it is, Confluence Gotham Mods by pkscout (yes, I know - not horribly original).

The one thing in here I don't think you'll see anywhere else is some deep integration of NextPVR with the Gotham LiveTV section. If you are running NextPVR and install XNEWA (which is separate from the NextPVR pvr add on), you'll have some new options to use XNEWA to replace the default Gotham stuff for things like recordings, timers (what NPVR calls upcoming recordings), and epg. You'll also be able to enable links to the NextPVR recurring recording list and web client right in the LiveTV section.

FEATURES
  • support for Artist Slideshow (enabled by default)
    http://wiki.xbmc.org/index.php?title=Add..._Slideshow
  • support for Skin Widgets random and recent movies/tv shows on home screen (enabled by default)
    http://wiki.xbmc.org/index.php?title=Add...in_Widgets
  • support for Revamp theme by uNiversal (enabled by default)
    http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=182210
  • update to MediaView3 to show episode count in TV show list
  • Clock and weather persistent across most screens (when clock and/or weather are enabled)
  • Clicking LiveTV on home screen automatically opens PVR channel list
  • XMBC label moved to lower right corner and is persistent (RSS feeds shifted accordingly)
  • option to show/hide Recordings and Radio links in LiveTV
  • if you are running NextPVR and XNEWA, options are available to use portions of XNEWA instead of the default PVR interfaces under LiveTV
    http://forums.gbpvr.com/forumdisplay.php?55-X-NEWA
  • option to show/hide TV episode/season numbers on home screen (hidden by default)
  • option to show/hide music disc numbers on home screen/music visualization (hidden by default)

If you'd like to install it, you can download my skin repo from:

https://raw.github.com/pkscout/repositor...-1.0.1.zip

and then install it from there.

I'll provide as much support as I can for this, but I'm not likely to be taking feature requests. If you're looking for a Confluence mod with lots of features, there are a couple of great ones already available and noted in this section of the forum.

1stly, thank you for using my Revamp images/theme feel free to use whatever variation on that which suits your taste better, and of course suggestions always welcome. Wink

2nd note that the skin/original theme release has been updated so the images that were released at the time here are now outdated in favour of theme and images released at this thread quite a few commits like for e.g. https://github.com/uNiversaI/revamped.th...1467d3974a and thats already been improved on some of the images.

Minor small spelling on your XMBC -> XBMC Wink

I will install your repo to see what you have been working on. in meanwhile now feel free to use my github project page for any issues, suggestions and Ill try to address them asap.

Thanks for the heads up. I downloaded the updated theme just after you released it and pushed an update with to my mods Sunday. So I should be pretty much up to date.

The following were removed from default skin and now to themes.

DefaultMusicSearch.png

A few more textures were added to theme that are not part of default skin but can be used as they are defined in core.

for e.g. DefaultScript.png which is assigned to python types in core.

For revamped theme now all osd player focus textures match the theme, this was a big change to finally bring the new theme into a worthy state for trying to submit to main skin.

Updated the compressed xbt for themes for download and usage

Download at https://github.com/uNiversaI/revamped.th...s/tag/4.01

There will be very little being changed now in general, quite a few textures that are future proof, already named accordingly and ready in theme for when I try to add them to default skin.

Please enjoy.

There you go pkscout, with this your skin mod should be Isengard ready and beyond.
Now as the only changes are for core now only for both themes. E.g changes for core are some at https://github.com/xbmc/xbmc/pull/6829 (more are planned)

would be nice to gain feedback on the revamped theme (was done to address comments in https://github.com/xbmc/xbmc/pull/5350 and will try to submit that to main again.

Re: files after https://github.com/xbmc/xbmc/pull/6900 I may need to put in the files added there and currently trying to sort out https://github.com/xbmc/xbmc/pull/4402 which will come down the pipleine soon enough.
Small changes but keeping up these days is a hard job.

The project is with default confluence, I had some ideas skinning wise, xml wise Im not proficient enough to do it myself, so need a partner.
