Release Popcornflix Video Addon
#31
No, it doesn't redirect, rather it endlessly (> 5 minutes) displays the loading animation...

I guess that's some kind of block going on, right?

Try playing some other Popcornflix video links in the browser, possibly just some of the content is blocked. If none play, I think it's safe to assume that, at least for you, the feeds are blocked.

When I first found out about popcornflix, It did this for just about everything I tryed. Then I tested with hola better internet setting it to us and stuff started working so I guess this is geoblock. There might be some stuff that works, so I suggest you to try a bit more.

It seems the addon is not working well. I've tryed several films and it just comes up with a "No playableItems Found" message on Kodi Helix stable. This is what the log says:

Note: the films (Dream Warrior and CIA - Exiled) do start playing in the website, they just take a lot of time until they start. Sometimes, I have to refresh the page or they won't start at all.
I guess popcornflix is overloaded and the addon does not wait for it.

I fixed this yesterday. The change has been submitted to the xbmc.org repo. You can also get it at:
https://github.com/learningit/plugin.video.popcornflix

The default bitrate has been set higher to allow 720p videos. You may need to adjust if you have a slow internet link.

THX! I'll update the addon on my kodi instalation and let you know.

Works great. The new default bitrate streams stuff in 640*480 or 720*516 as far as i can tell. 1200kbps seems to be 360p.

V1.0.8 is the current version. Don't know where you got 2.1.0 from. Reload from xbmc.org.

You must have a different repo installed that has an addon with the same name in it. Probably the easiest thing for you to do if you can't uninstall the repo with the higher version addon in it is:
1) disable auto-updates in Settings-Addons right cursor.
2) uninstall current popcornflix addon
3) install version 1.0.8 from xbmc.org repo
4) exit kodi
5) in your addons directory, open plugin.video.popcornflix directory and edit addon.xml with notepad (or something like it), change the version from 1.0.8 to something higher than 2.1.0 - like 3.0.8 and save the file.
6) start kodi
7) re-enable auto-updates (if desired)

You'll have to look in the xbmc.org repo from time to time (or when the addon doesn't work) to see if there's a new version in the repo and follow the steps above again.
