I installed XBMC 13.1 on Fire TV. But my amplifier is only receiving 2.1 audio. The same file outputs 5.1 on raspbmc

There is no option for audio passthrough in audio settings. I set 5.1 in audio output. I am connected though HDMI. What am i doing wrong?

Why wont 5.1 work on XBMC on Fire TV?

Is this a known issue. I read somewhere that 5.1 on XBMC on FireTV is only supported with the optical output but not HDMI output. Is that true?

You need to change the settings level before pass-through will be available.

after that put the number of channels to 2.0

Thanks. That worked. I didn't have the settings level option in the Aeon MQ5 skin.!!
