COMPLETED: XBMC v13.2 beta testing
#1
Information
Testing is over! Thanks for everyone who helped. Feel free to keep reporting about additional issues in new threads. XBMC v13.2 final is out now on http://xbmc.org/download/

What is this:
  • These are test builds for anyone who would like to help with testing the upcoming XBMC v13.2 bugfix release.
  • No new features have been added to this version.
  • Only bug fixes have gone in.
The main aim of this thread is to help make sure that no new bugs have accidentally slipped in as a result of the other bug fixes.

Where to download:
13.2 Final has been release. Builds can be found here: http://xbmc.org/download/

How to help:
  1. If something was working in v13.0 or v13.1 and is now broken in pre-v13.2: This is the main thing we want to know about. Please include in your post:
    • Say if this was also an issue in v13.0 (and/or v13.1) or not.
    • A debug log (wiki)
    • Which beta or RC build you are using (v13.2 beta 1, v13.2 beta 2, v13.2 beta 3, etc)
    • Details about your system (OS, hardware specs, etc)
    • Steps needed to reproduce the issue (play a movie, go to a file list, use an add-on, etc)
    • The more details, the better.

  2. If something was broken in v13.0 or v13.1 and is now fixed in pre-v13.2: feel free to post about that. Confirmation is always nice.

  3. If something was broken in v13.0 or v13.1 and is still broken in pre-v13.2: please do not report it in this thread unless it's something we specifically asked to be tested. Report those bugs/issues in a new thread.

Changes:
Changes for v13.2 are listed here: https://github.com/xbmc/xbmc/commits/Gotham

Here's a small sample of some of the fixes included between v13.1 and v13.2 (the ones I could understand, at least Wink Mods: feel free to add any interesting ones I missed):
  • Correct reported video (resolution, thumbnails, etc) info for certain file types that reported "two" video streams.

  • Fix for subtiles that were overlapping
  • Fix uppercase issue with accented letters ("VARIéS" vs "VARIÉS")
  • Fix for various OS X multichannel audio issues
  • Fix some fullscreen isuses on OS X
  • Fix for OS X firewall allow/deny message always popping up
  • Force "install from zip" to always install from the zip file and not from a cache'd copy of the zip file
  • External players can notify add-ons when playback as started, just like internal players can
  • Android now has "remote sends keypresses" enabled by default to accommodate common remotes
  • Fix for FTP TLS connections
  • PVR add-ons updated
  • Translations updated
  • Fix memory leak on web server, raw image decoder, and some other places
  • Various ActiveAE fixes and improvements
  • Various stability (less crashy) improvements and fixes

None of the posted links go to a zip file. They are links directly for the APK file.

I only see apk files on our mirrors:

Hello,

I have to improve on my searching abilities if this has already been posted, but I have not found anything.

Mac mini late 2012, 2,5ghz I5, 4gb ram, Intel HD4000 graphics set to 50 fps, OSX 10.9.4 and XBMC 13.2 beta 1.

No audio and the picture stutters when playing a tv channel with DD after enabling passthrough through HDMI with dvblink pvr addon v. 1.9.3. This also happens when playing a normal movie with DTS or DD. This was working in 13.1. I only have the logs from pvr but if other logs are necessary I will try to provide them.

Playing movies with multichannel flac/pcm now works... :-D

Log with no passthrough: http://xbmclogs.com/show.php?id=249139
Log with passthrough: http://xbmclogs.com/show.php?id=249140

I would also like to thank all the developers... Smile

You need a build that includes https://github.com/xbmc/xbmc/pull/4975

There'll be another beta for 13.2 shortly - will see if that merges cleanly. If not, it'll be a while.
Always read the XBMC online-manual, FAQ and search the forum before posting.
Do not e-mail XBMC-Team members directly asking for support. Read/follow the forum rules.

I have the same exact problem. Let's hope it merges.

It doesn't, so hasn't made B2. Depending on what time @Memphiz has, there may or may not be time to get it in to 13.2.

Quick update for @kharder and @hoosier205: the fix has gone in, but is not yet included in the 13.2-beta2 (it went in the day after)

I have just installed the build from Martijn and it seems to be working. I have not yet had the time to look at it thoroughly but will do that later today.

I have now been running the build from Martijn for about a day and have not experienced any problems with sound. The build also appears to run more smooth. One thing I have noticed is the time bar is not moving when playing a movie or a tv-channel.

What build are you referring to?
