There were 109 views and 1 answer post. I can't even get to that because it was several days ago and clicking on poster username does nothing.
Stupid xbmc is locking me out I do not remember setting a master code. Well now I need to reset. A new download of the platform does nothing and I can't seem to wipe away all traces of previous incarnation. I need to know how to reset a master code.

Nice one.. you forgot the master code, but it is XBMC that is stupid... Sorry, I couldn't resist Wink

First you need to find the userdata (wiki) directory. It differs per OS.

Once you are in the userdata (wiki) directory, edit guisettings.xml (wiki) and change the startuplock tag:

Code:
<startuplock default="true">false</startuplock>

If it is not the master lock, but the profile lock, then edit the profiles.xml (wiki) file in the same directory and for the particular profile change the lockmode and lockcode tags:

Code:
<lockmode>0</lockmode>
<lockcode>-</lockcode>
