i have lubuntu 14.04 installed. i previously had windows xp installed on the laptop.

I installed xbmc Gotham version and i get a segmentation fault.

Please use the forum search. That has been answered now multiple times.

Your hardware is so damn old, that you need to overwrite GL_VERSION in order to run xbmc succesfully.

Thank you very much for your support.
pasting 'export MESA_GL_VERSION_OVERRIDE=3.0' to /usr/bin/xbmc
did resolve the issue.
