it works for me and i don't know what's wrong with your setup. please check if you could map another command to your button and if it works.

Make sure you have the mapping defined under <global> and not some subsection.

you don't need to place it in your userdata folder because that's the default keymap file for remotes which is shipped with xbmc. you only need to override keys in your own keymap file if you want to use a different cmd.

Yeah i know but i cant get XBMC.ActivateWindow(TVGuide) to work from <global> or <home> only works under <FullscreenLiveTV>

Check you Lircmap.xml, I suspect KEY_EPG is not mapped to <guide>.

No, it's an XBMC problem too. Create a bug report on trac and attach your modified Lircmap.xml, you can add me as CC.
