[Annoucement][AFTV] SPMC (XBMC spinoff) published in Amazon Appstore
Please excuse me if this has already been answered. I tried updating to a newer SPMC version using "adb install -r" command. I thought this command would keep all my settings including my installed addons. Unfortunately this wiped out all my settings and I had to set it up from scratch. So now I ask, is there any way to update SPMC version and keep all of your settings?
And yet adb install -r *is* the correct way and I never had any issue with it...

I find the backporting of the adaptive seeking problematic on my Fire TV. I couldn't tolerate it in this, the Isengard Alphas or the latest nightlies. The seeking in Helix is much smoother, and the audio instant.

Also an issue for me. I went back to Helix.
Setting the skip delay to "none" and the steps to whatever seems to work for me, i.e. revert to Helix behaviour...

The shortest skip delay I'm offered on SPMC on my AFTV is 500ms. It's not as horrible as 15a2 or the nightlies but it's definitely not as smooth as Helix. The last time I tried one of the nightlies there was a good second delay after the skip before the audio returned. In SPMC the audio comes back immediately but the video jitters a bit. I notice there are others saying the same thing.

I know you've put a lot of work into SPMC and appreciate your effort but I can't see what advantage it brings. A FAQ would help.

Seeing this. I've tried the shortest skip delay presented on my AMlogic S805, that being 500ms and lo and behold Skipping now works properly.

BTW you really appreciate these programmable delays if you happen to watch recorded live TV. Sports broadcasts especially, its very easy then to skip through the commercials.

Thanks Koying Smile

If I exit SPMC and re-open, the speed is back to normal.

Is anyone else noticing this? Is there something I can do to fix this lag that occurs over time?

If you have a Utility available to set the S805 CPU Governor, check it is set to "Performance" and not "On Demand".

The other tip for a Kodi GUI performance increase is to set:
Kodi > Settings > System > Video Output > Vertical blank sync > Enabled during video playback

Probably the shorter delays have been added after the backport.
On Isengard, you go can go all the way to 0/none. It'll then use, instantaneously, the shorter step you have defined.

I had tried several times on my android tablet and my AFTVs to get extendedinfo script to work. Logs show the error that script.module.pil didn't exist. I do have it working now, but to do it, I had to copy/paste the script.module.pil from my Windows computer to the AFTV.
Hi sorry noob question here but has any1 tried apps2fire from Google app store to sideload apps to AFTV? Sorry if already asked but I didn't see the question anywhere.
Just a quick me too. I got the "NO PIL" bug as mentioned earlier in the thread.

I have 2 MK902s setup like this and both do the same thing.

Anyone ever figure out how to solve this?

KODI 15 is working flawlessly on my WIN7 machine.

all i know is this was supposed to be fixed in 15.0

i'll move this to the spmc thread, just in case it's specific to that build.
Do not PM or e-mail Team-Kodi members directly asking for support.
Always read the Forum rules, Kodi online-manual, FAQ, Help and Search the forum before posting.
Hmmm. In that case, I think Ill post this question over at the SPMC thread on Freaktab. Couldn't hurt to ask them as well.
Probably a packaging mistake.
Has anyone an *easy* addon to test PIL? OZWeather is kind of a pita for testing Wink
