Copy and paste the contents of the acestream log file to pastebin.com and, after that, paste the generated link here on this thread...

You can easily create a list of your fav torrents on your pc, host it on dropbox (or similar) and add it as a remote list on your htpc.
I've modified the playtoxbmc chrome extension a few time ago to beam acestream and sop links to xbmc but it doesn't make much sense. Those links are usually shared to be copied and pasted on aceplayer so...the cases in which you have an actual link are rare. Plus, all of those acestreams are normally from 1 or 2 websites and a simple parser can be made for them.

Many thanks for your answer, enen92,

I don't know how to create those lists you talk about, and I really use the PC that have ubuntu using TV as screen. I would like to know what is the easiest way to open with yout add-on a acestream link that I found in some web.

Regards and thanks again

Read the project wiki, all the information on how to build personal lists and even parsers are present there. I might develop a chrome extension later for p2p-streams.

I bit of newbie and could do with some advice. I am using an android MX2 box with Gotham 13.2 and have tried to setup p2p but am having some issues, as I think I have the engine setup ok, but when I go into watch any Acestream link it just times out all the time. I used this plugin a month ago and it was spot on, have I missed some changes to the settings or something?

Any help would be appreciated.

@ Enen92

Hi mate can you help me with this please, as I cannot get p2p to work.

Many thanks

Answering this type of questions is similar to find a nail in space, that's why it has been ignored. If you can't get the internal engine to run then use the external application they provide. Enable "download modules on boot" and answer yes to the "do you want to use an external engine question". The acestreamengine.apk will be downloaded to the /sdcard/Download folder. Install it.
After that p2p-streams will be configured to start the the external engine every time you start an acestream link.
Hi enen92, many thanks for your help.

I've install a pack of channels using "Run a python script" and now I don't have to copy the acestream links. Even with this I would like to be able to click on an acestream link in the web browser and then xbmc starts automatically and play it (I've try it with no succeed).

Now I have a bigger problem, sometimes the computer gets frozen after a while playing some channel and I have to restart it completely. I try to do this:

-Go to "advanced tools menu" then "import recommended advancesettings.xml" and then select the 2 options I have ("Cachemembuffer=252420" and "freememorycachepercent=5").
-Disable desktop effects in fullscreen Windows (in System preferences on the OS).
-I've install Acestream engine as you explain here: https://github.com/enen92/P2P-Streams-XB...figuration but then when i change to "acestreamengine --client-console" the playback stops very soon having a KWin error.
-I've try to install acestream directly (not throught p2p-streams) to try, but when i run "sudo apt-get install acestream-full" I have an error. I think the problem is I have a kubuntu 14.10 and acestreams i avaiable only up to 14.04.

I wonder if I could custom the advancedsettings.xml file to make it work better on my system, but I don't know how to and I also don't know where this file is located.

Many thanks

The last line stands out to me.Do you have upnp enabled on your router & have you forwarded port 8621.I use gufw so had to create a firewall rule too.

Code:

You need a python installation with UCS4 enabled (result of sys.maxunicode > 65535). Build and install python 2.7 with --enable-unicode=ucs4. That's a problem on your distro. Acestreamengine code can't be touched so you need to "fix it" on your system side.

Thank you for the quick reply, will try to recompile python and let you know.

Well, after some work compiled Python with UCS4 ... this is the resulting log of acestream cmd:
All seems to be fine ...

Will keep you updated.
Enen,

Is there a way to set the cache limit when using the acestream engine directly from the addon? I am on android box.

Thanks in advance
Hello enen92.
It seems that everything is working now. I discovered that in the Ace Stream icon, on the right bottom of my PC, in Advanced options , the option "Auto slots and connections management" was marked and the value in "Max connects per string" was 0. I don´t know why. I disabled this option, and now p2pstreams works fine.
Thank you
got problem with acestream suddenly on OE beta4 system

anyone can figure this out?

I am completely confused.....,..is there a video somewhere as a tutorial.

Hi Enen

Apologies my response last nite was a little fluffy...it was a long day I'm afraid.

So you are aware, I am using an MX2 box with Matricom 1.2 installed and Gotham 13.2. I downloaded both the Aceplayer and the Acestream Engine as you advised above and they are both now installed and are showing on the Android apps screen. When I go into P2P it opens as per normal, but when i try and click on Advanced Tools it just comes up with 'P2P - Script Error'. If i click into the section where Wiziwig and other sources it lets me, however, if I click on say one of the sports channels it says' Starting Acestream Engine' and it starts the countdown from 40........but the engine never initialises and i don't see any seeds etc and it just counts down to 0 seconds and says 'torrent not available or vaild'.

Any advice you could offer.

thanks

Darren
I'm abroad at the moment with no time for this i'm affraid...
Next week maybe
Hello I use P2P streams on raspberri.
How can I change location the cache folder acestream?
thank you.
Hi

Thanks to Enen for the plugin, I've used it for a while and am very impressed. I've got a query though if anyone can help.....

I'm using the plugin and the Acestream app on an Android device. However when I plug an HDMI cable in to watch a stream on telly, the number of streams I can connect to is far lower than if I don't have the HDMI cable plugged in. I've tried a few things to resolve this but nothing has helped so far. Any ideas?

Maybe this is more an Acestream question than plugin but worth a try.

Thanks in advance if anyone can help.
