Release P2P-Streams - SopCast and AceStream for Kodi
ahh i see....IMO thats the only advantage plex has over kodi right now.
Ive been using the http streaming feature in Ighors OSX app and its very handy.....will be nice see that working direct from kodi.
Looking forward to it already..keep up the good work mate!!
Will plexus work on android box using xbmc Gotham?
Why not Kodi? If p2p streams works plexus will work as well. I'm not writting it from zero
I have been trying to get p2p-streams (ACESTREAM SPORTS) working on my Raspberry Pi2 with OpenELEC, but so far I have not been successful.

I followed the instructions here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iutIwY78GII but can't get it to work on the Pi.

It does work (using the same setup steps) on my laptop which has the Kodi application installed. But the Pi just won't play the streams, I always get message...

"p2p-streams, torrent not available or invalid, failed to load list files".

Someone told me that p2p-streams is not supported on OpenELEC, but today I managed to get p2p-streams working on OpenELEC (installed on the hard drive), by following a slightly different setup, i.e. downloading "repository.p2p-streams.xbmc-1.0.4.zip" and performing these steps...

///////////////////////////// setup steps ///////////////////////

1. Add Fusion Source
System > File Manager > Add Source
http://fusion.tvaddons.ag/
Add name for the source .fusion (OK)

2. Add Repo for Add-on Installer
System > Settings > Add-ons > Install from zip file > .fusion > Start Here > plugin.program.addoninstaller-1.2.0.zip

3. Install p2p-streams repository
System > Settings > Add-ons > Install from zip file > navigate to downloaded file
"repository.p2p-streams.xbmc-1.0.4.zip" and install

4. Install p2p-streams video add-on
System > Add-ons > Get Add-ons > p2p-streams repository > Video Add-ons > p2p streams > (B) Install

5. Run python sctipt
Videos > Add-ons > p2p-streams > C (context menu) > Add-on Settings > (T) Lists/Parsers > run python script
http://bit.ly/allparsers (B) Done
(B) OK
stay on page for next step

6. configure Add-on for first run (Download AceStream modules)
Videos > Add-ons > p2p-streams >

message.... P2P-STREAMS Are you using OpenELEC? (B) Yes
msg P2P-STREAMS
Downloading SopCast modules - takes around one minute to
msg P2P-STREAMS
Downloading AceStream modules - takes more than one minute to download
msg P2P-STREAMS Extracting modules

Advanced Tools Menu > Import recommended advanced settings > Cachemembuffer=252420
msg... P2P-STREAMS, Xml has been imported. Please restart Kodi (B) OK
Reboot Kodi for changes to take effect.

saw msg briefly on reboot, which said something like... TV repository Add-on repository add-on updated

/////////////// end of setup steps ////////////////

But this won't work on the Pi. That is my problem that I can't seem to resolve.

Any idea where I'm going wrong?

Regards, Hugh
Go away, post has been reported.
sorry, I don't understand what you mean. Did I do something wrong?

No piracy/illegal talk on this forum. Take it elsewhere.

Thanks.
Here's another preview at plexus, in this case the tcp server + http proxy service:

p2p-streams running on the nexus tablet with plexus (the server) running on the linux laptop. The internet here is a bit slow hence the time needed to load. Let's see if tonight I can work a bit on this.

Cheers

Looking good that. Would I be able to use my android phone using xbmc/kodi and stream an acestream stream to my arm7 openelec xbmc?
That's the whole point, enabling streams in devices where the engines are not available but kodi is. This means the server will most likely run on everyplatform that has engines running, and working: windows, osx, linux and android. This of course for acestreams, sopcast can be served in all of them. You'll just need to install plexus on both and configure one as a server (it can also play local streams) and the other (openelec arm) to connect to plexus on the phone.

That is brilliant Shy
Hey! that looks really great. Very very good job, man. I am anxious to see the public birth of Plexus.

If you need help on testing, consider I have windou$, Ubuntu, embedded linux (QNAP HDStation), OPENELEC on a Raspberry PI Model B+, iOS and Android at home... My time is limited sometimes, but I will be pleased to give you a hand.

Keep on pushing, dude.

PS: Please, do not forget QNAP HDStation on your brand new Plexus (I didn't get Acestream to work on QNAP using P2P-Streams).
