Is it possible to do this? I basically only want it to show up if I press a button. It comes up way too often for me (on startup, if I press back). There's no need for it to show up so often.

What options are you talking about?

Some of the times when I load up PVR (or close out of it), I will get the left sidebar with all of the 'view options (ie, radio channels, TV channels). I don't want it to keep popping up as I want to keep it as minimal as possible.

It only opens when you press back when you're in the guide window.
