Hello.

I have a movie called Fury with Samuel L Jackson http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fury_(2012_film). Also known as The Samaritan.

A new movie named Fury is set to be released this year with Brad Pitt.

The poster art and movie information has changed from the original movie info with Samuel L Jackson to the new movie info with Brad Pitt.

There is always going to be movies released that share the same name as a previous movie release but how can we control this type of info over-write?

The only way i can get the correct movie information is to manually manage the movie and name it The Samaritan. Samuel L Jackson's Fury doesn't rate a mention when updating from the internet.

Thanks.

Try adding the year to the filename, ie. Fury (2012).mkv

This will distinguish it from similarly named movies produced/released in different years.

Or just add an NFO specifying the imdb number.

Bu im confused.

So the .nfo file i create replaces the .nfo file that the scraper creates?

Is this right?

Thanks again.

Does the nfo added by the scraper distinguish between the 2012 and 2014 films? Does it include any reference to imdb? If not, it's worthless, so replace it.

Including the release year in your movie filenames is always worth doing to avoid this kind of problem now and in the future.
