1. Guide data is not available for ClearQAM. Would need to add support for XMLTV listings, or have SD give more liberal access to their guide listing API. But then again ClearQAM looks to be dying, at least in the US.
2. Where would we record the data? Wouldn't it make sense to encode and populate TV Shows so the files are available across the network.
3. Right now, the plugin is supported by Silicon Dust. Anything that is added where the license restricts commercial use would create a branch that they could not support. After a discussion on their forums, they seem open to merging changes from the OSS community into the officially supported plugin.

I may have some time to work on this this summer.

Also, the code for the plugin was very well written, and easy to follow if you are fluent in python.

If you need any testing, etc, I'd be more than happy to help. I have never done any programming, but things like this make we want to learn a little. Since it is well-written, is something something one could use to learn python? If nothing else, I could try and edit the remote control settings a little more to my liking.

I'm using a cable card with no issues on my EPG, but it seems you're not the only one with trouble. (Check out the support forum for updates, if you haven't already - https://www.silicondust.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=87). As far as removing channels, currently, there is no way to do limit the channels on your KODI machine.

From the wiki about the SiliconDust addon (http://kodi.wiki/view/Add-on:HDHomeRun_Live_TV):

Quote:6.1 Do I need to provide EPG data?
Nope. SiliconDust pays for providing the EPG (electronic programming guide), channel icons, and other data from FYI Television. [1] This data is downloaded directly onto your HDHomeRun unit and the add-on loads that data from there.

Seems interesting. Has anyone been able to figure out how to get that data right off of the HDHomeRun? How often is it updated?

It would be cool to be able to use that in building a PVR back-end.

I'm trying to get simple iptv to work with my hdhomerun prime and of all things I can't find the location of the playlist I saved. I searched rootfilesystem/home/osmc but the userdata folder is not in there. Could someone point out to me where my playlist is located in osmc on my raspi2 so I can get this to work. Thanks in advance for any help.
