NFS-kernel-server disables dvbhdhomerun-utils
#1
I have been building a media server using Ubuntu server 14.04. The server includes my hd MKV files as well as my tvheadend back end. I am using a hdhomerun prime tv tuner. I have an issue where NSF-kernel-server disables dvbhdhomerun-until sand prevents it from running altogether. In effect it causes tv headend to "lock up" all functions of the server including but not limited to NFS shares, and SSH. The only way to correct the issue is to uninstall tvheadend or NFS-kernel-server. To my knowledge I have the latest stable builds of all my software. I am trying to keep as few devices on my network as possible thus the single server. Has anyone else run into this conflict? Is there any work around? NFS is my protocol of choice as my network is OS X or Linux devices, is there an alternative solution that would perform just as well?
