Tags versus Set
#1
Hi,

while investigating some of the new options in XBMC, I found out the Tags feature.

I believe tags are not supported in EMM. From what I read, tags are better than sets as a movie can only exist in one set, while it can hold several tags.

I'm not really sure if Tags are a useful feature.

I use set for their initial intended use. But I also like to create custom sets (say Kungfu, vampires, )
for that I have created custom genre, then in XBMC I create a smart playlist (mapped to a sub-menu) that contains the desired genre or even create parent/child relationship with playlist.

Am I missing something with the Tags?

Tags aren't supported YET in Ember. Tags are great way to auto create playlists in XBMC - you can define a logic for a playlist by yourself and use tags to glue your movies together - i.e. i would use tags like "hot like hell", "garbage movie","ultimate movie" "never ever again" which then create my personal Ultimate Movie Playlist in XBMC Wink But if you want to know more about usefullness of tags in general you should visit general XBMC discussion board I think
