It was decided against this patch - as we wanted to find out _why_ windows especially needs so long time to delay the AE enumerating thread by that far time - we did not get that investigated correctly, yet.

My fix was no fix - but a "workaround" for that issue. The root cause should be fixed.

Wasn't the other "fix" turning of logging completely with advancedsettings.xml

Nope - it was just increasing the "time".

I would be interested in such a profiles.xml please - one that reliable makes kodi not starting up, please.

Edit: Yes of course, disabling some logging also had an effect. To my knowledge it was not found what the issue is, sadly.

Just install Kodi 17.0 from KodiSetup-20160307-c6b201a-win32_installer.exe on a Windows 7 32 bits PC.

When I run Kodi, I have the same error and I have this code in kodi.log :

I have unselected Estouchy from installation menus but I always do that on fresh Kodi installation (15.x, 16.x, ...).

I'm downloading KodiSetup-20160307-a5388fc-master.exe and I will make a full installation to see if the problem is fixed.

I always done custom installations (if there was an option) so I would install only what I need and now I went trough a lot of unnecessary re-installs, troubleshooting and googling why kodi won't start only to find out it was because of Estouchy..

Okay, the problem is solved. Get rid of you current Kodi installation and download the version you want to use.
Do NOT run the setup file. Instead, use 7-zip to extract it to a folder "Kodi-15.2-Insengard" for example.
In that directory you will find a sub directory called $Temp.
Do the following 4 steps (not sure all 4 are needed but do them anyway)
run as administrator the dxsetup
then run as administrator and check "repair" the follow three vc executables 2008, 2010, and 2013.
Kodi will run right from there, but I closed it, and moved the directory to c:\program files (x86) and renamed it kodi.
It is running right now.
I am guessing it is was a vc problem caused by installing a third party app, but I don't know for sure. I do know this fixed it.

Guys any chance of some help

Had latest edition Jarvis installed and working fine then just suddenly stopped over night. tried installing and uninstalling numerous times. I've downloaded different versions of SQLite.dll from here http://minhateca.com.br/btfshadow/Solu*c...p(archive) it got kodi to work however then it wouldn't connect ot the internet despite internet working.

Now to further the issue I re-downloaded kodi to try something else I read on this forum and it now comes up with the Error: unable to create application. Exiting. Nothing I seem to do now will alter what happens. From Appdata- roaming - kodi I have the following appear..
