Hello everyone,
This is my first post here. Could not find answers so started this thread:
I've built my first HTPC recently with i5 4570 CPU and HD7790 GPU, which handles SVP 5g and madVR level5 quite well. I use MPC-HC as en external player for movies. I'm really impressed with PQ I have.
Now it's time for LiveTV.
I've a set-top box connected to my TV, which I don't like that much, but since it has an Irdeto encyrption card I can't pass it and use a TV Tuner with my HTPC.
So I want to buy an HDMI capture card (smt like http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as...6815100049 ) for watching LiveTV and PVR tasks. And here are my questions:
- Would I be able to switch channels in Kodi?
- What about EPG?
- Who does the upscaling? Can I use madVR upscaling for this task also? Or am I limited to what Kodi offers? Which algorithms?
- Any other recommendations?
