No passthrough on Gotham with USB soundcard, perfect in Frodo
#1
hi, decided to go from 12.2 to 13.2 to keep up with the times Smile

now I have the exact same problem as this guy in os x

http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=198370

Since my receiver is older I don't have HDMI on there. So I have a soundblaster x-Fi connect through usb to my laptop and from optical to optical in the receiver. SPDif is default device. In Frodo no problem for DTS & AC3 (I have 5.1 setup). In Gotham it ain't working.

Any help is appreciated to get this to work.
Otherwise I need to stay on Frodo until I buy a new receiver in the future.

post your Debug Log and provide the screenshots of the audio section.
First decide what functions / features you expect from a system. Then decide for the hardware. Don't waste your money on crap.

Here you go..

As you can see from the pics underneath here .. when I choose the spdif option, I don't get to choose the amount of speakers (5.1, ...)

It all works fine under Frodo, there I just need to say that my receiver is 5.1 and DTS capable
