Running 4.4.2 android on my ASUS pad trying to download Xbmc but when it downloads it comes up only as a txt no exe files. Can somebody give me some advice.

Are you downloading it from http://kodi.tv/download ?

Yes sir. What is downloading is(xbmc-13.text)
Mirror.gtlib.gatech.edu. that is what I get from your link also.

What browser are you using? Try another browser.

if you do this from android: the browser might tell you the file is potentially harmful(as its an apk). You must "keep/accept" the file.

You need to allow untrusted applications in the settings.
