Seems more blu rays are trying to adopt Atmos audio. Helix is supposed to pass thru sub streams but movies like TNMT look to only be carrying Dolby Atmos and no other option for english. Will receivers be unable to decode these newer movies unless they upgrade to ATMOS capable receivers??

As far as I know we can strip out the atmos stuff and playback the normal Dolby stream

the audio is dolby trueHD with an atmos addition, so if your receiver has no atmos it wil play the trueHD stream

Kodi will only play the TrueHD stream, Atmos is not working (yet)

Atmos is an extension for Dolby TrueHD and Dolby Digital Plus, and since TrueHD is far more commonly used than Dolby Digital Plus it's a fair bet it will be the "standard" choice.
