Heos by Denon and XBMC
#1
Hi Forum.
I am having trouble setting up XBMC with my speaker system Heos by Denon.

I run OS X Yosemite.
I want to stream my laptop sound to my speakers.

I have just downloaded XBMC to do this, but I can't seem to figure out how I get the system connected.

Can you please help? Have tried searching for an answer for this but no luck.

Any instructions should probably be kept fairly simple if even I am to be able to keep up ;-)

Thank you

Have you attached a HDMI cable between your computer and your Denon receiver?

If not how do you have your system connected?

I don't have my computer or speaker hardwired to anything.
My Heos speaker is playing through Spotify Connect on my Iphone/Ipad.
But the speaker has DNLA as well so I wanted to be able to use it for my Macbook when watching movies.

Hope I'm making sense.

You'll have to use the analog audio in on the Speaker from the headphone out jack on your computer/laptop

I assume you mean this thing?

If that isn't acceptable I would return it and buy a proper home theatre receiver and speakers.
