Watching streams on TV via iMac Yosemite
#1
Hello everyone,
I would appreciate help on the following: I have an iMac w/yosemite and an Apple TV (new black model) connected to my TV set via HDMI.
I would like to download Kodi software, what do I need to do after that to watch streams (mostly hockey games)?
Thanks

I'm new to this and found out that my AppleTV is 3rd generation (not 2) and the question still remains what do I need to do to watch streams (hockey).
any help is much appreciated.

Ali,

I Believe what you referring to is "Airplay Mirroring in OS X".

i.e. mirror your iMac screen to the Apple TV 3. Once XBMC is running on the iMac you can then mirror whatever you are streaming to the ATV3.

Firstly you must have the correct model iMac - that being from Mid 2011 onwards, as this line of iMacs have Intel CPU's that support Intel Quicksync technology.

Details here:

If you don't have the correct model, you can use a program called AirParrot to mirror.
